FAQ
General Wear & Care
Your Kyoti jewels are thoughtfully handcrafted, infused with meaning, and designed to be treasured for years. To honour their spirit and preserve their beauty, we recommend the following care rituals.
How do I best care for my Kyoti jewels?
Each Kyoti piece is intentionally crafted and energetically charged—designed to be worn with reverence. To preserve their essence and protect the materials, we suggest these mindful care practices:
Avoid wearing your Kyoti jewels while swimming, showering, exercising, or doing household chores. Contact with salt water, chlorine, perfumes, creams, hairspray, and cleaning agents can dull the metals and affect the energy and integrity of the stones.
Please remove your jewels before sleeping or engaging in physical activities. Let them be the final touch as you dress with intention, and the first thing you remove as you wind down. Silver is delicate—necklaces may stretch or kink during rest, and rings, cuffs, and earrings can bend or warp under pressure.
Treat your Kyoti treasures with love and presence, and they will journey with you for years to come.
How should I store my Kyoti jewels?
To protect their energy and preserve their beauty, store your Kyoti pieces in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and dust. The box your jewels arrived in is designed to be their sanctuary—perfect for safekeeping.
We suggest gently wiping your jewels after each wear with a soft cloth to remove natural oils and residue, helping prevent tarnish and maintain their sacred shine. Treat them as you would any treasured ritual item—with care and intention.
How can I clean my Kyoti jewels?
We recommend using a high-quality silver polishing cloth to gently restore your sterling silver jewels' natural shine. Silver and brass will naturally tarnish over time—this is a normal reaction to body oils, heat, and everyday elements, not a flaw. A regular polish will help renew their lustre and energy.
For gold-plated pieces, avoid over-polishing, as it can wear away the delicate layer of gold and cause fading. Always treat your Kyoti jewels with softness and respect—they carry not just beauty, but meaning.
Can I wear my Kyoti jewels in water?
We don’t recommend wearing your Kyoti pieces while swimming, showering, or during daily tasks like washing your hands or cleaning. Water—especially salt or chlorinated—along with products like sunscreen, perfumes, and soaps, can compromise both the metals and the spiritual integrity of your jewels.
Gold plating is particularly delicate and may fade with exposure to moisture, chemicals, and over-polishing. Please remember, gold plating is a beautiful but impermanent finish—honour it with care and intention.
How can I prevent my Kyoti jewels from tarnishing?
Tarnishing is a natural part of your jewels' journey—silver and gold-plated pieces may darken or fade over time as they interact with air, moisture, and the energy of your environment. This isn’t a fault, just a sign they’re well-loved.
To slow this process, avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, deodorant, and skincare products. Always remove your jewels before applying them.
We recommend storing your pieces in an airtight container or their original Kyoti box, and gently wiping them with a soft cloth between wears to remove oils and residue. A quality polishing cloth for silver or gold is a beautiful investment to keep your jewels glowing and energetically vibrant.
My Kyoti jewels look different to the photos—why is that?
Every Kyoti piece is lovingly handmade using natural materials, so you may notice subtle variations in stone colours, inclusions, oxidisation levels, and textures. You might even spot tiny tool marks—signatures of the human hands and heart behind each creation.
These nuances aren’t flaws—they’re part of what makes your jewel truly one of a kind, just like you.

Preserving the Magic
Semi-Precious & Precious Stones
Many Kyoti pieces feature precious and semi-precious stones—each with its own energetic resonance and care needs.
Please avoid exposing your stone-set jewels to water, humidity, or products like perfumes, creams, or cleaning agents, as these can compromise the stones' integrity and appearance.
Stones such as Opals, Apatite, Emeralds, and Moonstones are especially delicate. Opals, being porous, are particularly sensitive to moisture and may shift in colour or clarity if exposed to water or stored in humid spaces like bathrooms.
Treat each piece with mindfulness, and your jewels will remain as radiant as the day they found you.
Huggies
Kyoti huggies are designed to sit snugly and securely—but with wear, they may loosen slightly over time. If your huggies no longer clasp as they should, the post may simply need realigning.
To fix this, gently lift the very tip of the post upward so it aligns once more with the clasp.
Avoid forcing the hoop open from the front or pushing down on the post—this can damage the delicate hinge and post mechanism.
A soft touch and mindful handling will keep your huggies in harmony for years to come.
Cuffs
To preserve the strength and beauty of your Kyoti cuffs, avoid bending or stretching them open and closed. Instead, gently slide them onto your wrist from the narrowest part—along the side—without forcing the shape.
Repeated flexing can weaken the band and compromise both its structure and the integrity of the stone settings.
Please also be mindful not to catch your cuff on surfaces or clothing during wear, as this can cause irreparable damage that isn’t covered under warranty.
Treat your cuffs with care, and they’ll remain a powerful part of your adornment ritual.
Gold Plating
Gold-plated Kyoti pieces are best reserved for intentional, occasional wear. Over time—and especially with frequent use—the delicate layer of gold will begin to soften and reveal the base metal beneath. This is a natural process and not considered a fault.
To preserve their golden glow, avoid wearing your gold-plated jewels in water, and keep them away from perfumes, hair sprays, and skincare products. Gently wipe your pieces with a soft cloth between wears to keep them radiant.
